What's Included With Your Puppy
Every puppy goes home with an AKC registration application and pedigree, vaccination and deworming records, a registered microchip, and a personalized New Puppy Care Folder covering care, nutrition and training. We leave dewclaws intact, as new studies link removal to arthritis. Best of all, you get lifetime support from us for the life of your puppy!
Flying Your Puppy Home Option
Prefer delivery? Our loving Puppy Nanny will fly in cabin with your puppy and hand deliver them right to you for airfare plus a $400–600 Puppy Nanny Fee. This includes an airline-approved soft travel crate, the vet-signed health certificate required for flying, and one-on-one love and attention to keep your puppy safe and comfortable the whole trip.
Driving Your Puppy Home
Driving home? Bring a travel crate lined with old towels (we'll rub one on a littermate so it smells like home), paper towels, wet wipes, a couple of toys and a collar. Pack a water dish for drives over two hours, and skip food unless the drive is 4–5+ hours. Bring empty gallon jugs to fill with our well water, too.
Flying Your Puppy Home
Flying home together? You'll need an airline-approved soft travel crate, 10–12 puppy potty pads, chew toys, a portable food and water dish, and a small bag of Life's Abundance All Life Stage food. We'll prepare the vet-signed health certificate with advance notice, and share our best flying tips during your final Puppy Phone Appointment!
Items to Have on Hand for Go Home Day
Order your Life's Abundance food early at ourhealthypetchallenge.com or call 1-877-387-4564 with Rep ID 20080085. Staying on it keeps your guarantee active, and Auto-ship saves $17.77. If you switch foods, mix gradually and avoid corn, wheat and soy. Then gather these essentials before your puppy arrives:
Bowls
Ceramic or stainless steel food and water dishes are easy to clean and stand up to puppy chewing.
Wire Crate
Choose a 36–42" crate with a divider, and crate your puppy whenever you can't supervise.
Old Towels
Skip the fancy bed until 12–18 months old. Washable towels and blankets survive puppy chewing.
Chew Toys
Squeaky plush, rope toys and tennis balls are favorites. Skip rawhides, which can be a choking risk.
Collars
An everyday collar with an ID tag, plus a martingale collar for supervised leash training.
Fenced Yard
No fence? A wireless fence works wonderfully, and Goldens learn the boundaries within a day or two!
Our Number
Save (406) 721-9025 in your phone. We're here for questions long after Go Home Day!
The First Few Days at Home
Expect some crying the first 2–3 nights as your puppy misses littermates. Night wake-ups usually mean potty, so keep it all business with no play. Not eating by evening? Offer cooked ground beef, plus white rice for loose stools. Your puppy should drink within a few hours; if not, or if still not eating by day two, call us right away!
Congratulations on your decision to adopt a Montana Mist Goldens Puppy!!
